Start with the shape, not the star.
A formation is a budget decision as much as a tactical one. A 3-5-2 needs five midfielders; a 4-3-3 needs three forwards. Select your shape first so you do not spend credits on players who cannot occupy your remaining positions.
Build a baseline XI.
Use the budget-friendly auto-pick to establish an affordable starting point. Then compare one upgrade at a time. The useful question is not whether a player is good, but what you give up elsewhere to fit that player into your squad.
Keep the units honest.
Your 100.0 credit allowance is a game constraint, not money. It cannot be deposited, purchased, withdrawn or exchanged. A lower virtual price is not a financial bargain and fantasy points are not income.
Test the decision.
Compare players with the same position and a similar minutes sample. Simulated points describe the seed, not future performance. Save only when all eleven positions and the budget make sense together.
